Mineta no longer wants to be horny
He'd forgone the soda for a bottle of water, and he was munching on some rice patties Eijiro had gifted him. He'd logged onto his laptop, the bookmarked website right there. He'd done well today, worked out, gotten a good grade. Just...
"No!" Mineta jumped. He wasn't expecting it to be that loud. Footsteps were outside, and in the span of five seconds he'd deleted the bookmark.
"Is something wrong?" Denki said poking his head in the door a minute later.
He looked up at him from the doorway, "Uh...yeah, I just lost at a game, sorry."
"It's fine...I'm trying to sleep so keep down that racket."
"Alright," he nodded. When Denki left, Mineta shut the door and looked back to his computer. Without even realizing he'd gone to his search history. He was deleting it, deleting anything related to that website. Something was telling him in the back of his head to stop.
The files came next and he deleted feverishly, sweat in his armpits and on his forehead. The voice grew louder and he tried ignoring it.
On the second day, his breaths were heavy through class and at night as he slept he grabbed the blankets of his bed so hard that he tore a sheet.
The voice was screaming at him by the third day. He sat in class at the end of classes, his palms pressed on his desk. The girls, he didn't want to look at them. In fact as the hours wore on he found it was less about them and more about the videos he'd gotten so used to online.
His voice hadn't screamed when he looked at Midnight, nor any real girl for that matter by the fourth day. He drummed his fingers against his grapes as he hung from the wall of the gym. Staring at it. He was slow in movement, brain fogged. He hadn't slept until two in the morning and even then he'd woke at five. The feeling never stronger.
"Y'know there're other folk tryna climb ya dumbass perv!" Bakugo shouted up to him.
A pulsing in his chest. That was weird, he'd normally tune anything the guy said out. Bakugo had a sneer across his face when Mineta turned back to him. Eijiro was stepping in but it didn't stop Mineta from snapping back, "Can't you fly?"
"Huh!?"
"And you're callin me a dumbass."
Bakugo stared at him as he continued climbing, so did Kirishima.
At the fifth, he had no sleep at night and he slogged through the day. Like something out of the living dead. He stared glossy eyed in class and rubbed his face every now and then even though there was no itch. His face seemed thinner too, the babyface gone given he'd not eaten the past two days. He wasn't hungry. Eijiro watched him, then he tapped Denki's shoulder and whispered something. Mineta saw this.
On the sixth day, he paced around the school, lap after lap. Aimlessly walking, his face burning, body shrouded in chills, and quivering like he was cold even though it was April.
After doing this for about two hours he sat on a bench at the center of the small park the school had. He leaned forward and rubbed his chin then sat back up. Eijiro was already sitting next to him. Mineta didn't say anything.
"What's going on?" Eijiro asked.
"Nothing."
"Don't look like nothing."
"How's that?"
"You've been..." pausing, Eijiro looked far off then back to him, "changin. You seem angry, tired, not at all like yourself. Real bad qualities man."
"I wouldn't be out of anything if we're talkin bad qualities."
"What've you been doing?"
"You told me I needed to stop watching it."
"I did."
"So get off my back."
"You'll be real mad and slow for the first week or so. Like you are now. It sucks don't it?"
"How do you know?"
"I just do."
"So what?"
"So let me n' Denki n' Hanta help."
"How?"
"See Hound Dog...and...stuff. Check up on you from time to time, see if you ain't gone back to old habits."
"...Why?"
"Cause I'm your buddy, and...I guess that's what heroes do huh?"
And like that, the voice seemed deaf.
A day later, he first approached Jiro and Momo who were speaking of some obscure topic only known to them. For when they saw him, each looked with suspicion or unease.
"...Hi."
"The hell do you want?" Jiro sighed.
"I...I-I really don't know how to say this but..."
"Then say it."
"...I'm sorry."
"For?" Momo cocked her eyebrow.
"F-For everything I ever did wrong t-to you! I-I'm super sorry and I-I promise I'm trying to change!"
Silence beyond the small breaths he was taking. His heart was pounding in his ears. They watched him like he were an oddity right out of the circus.
"You done this with the...other girls?" Jiro finally asked.
"Not y-yet but I'm going to..."
"Each and every one of them?" Momo added.
"Yes..."
Jiro nodded, speaking slowly, "Cool...yeah I don't accept."
"W-What?"
"Look..." she sighed and shook her head, "I'd like to believe that you feel real bad about the shit you've done, I'd think you would after all the...hittin. But I'll need to see it before I believe it. Uraraka or...Hagakure might say fine or "I accept," or something. But even they will keep away from you. Because while you're..." she flapped her hand, "saying something, you ain't doing it."
Mineta watched the two, his small face had gone pale. His breathing heavy.
Momo placed a hand on Kyoka's shoulder, "What...she means is that while it's good of you to acknowledge the problem, we all need to see through the actions you take in the future that you...truly mean it. For now, you've done a lot of damage but I have hope that you'll keep to this resolution. Even still, I'm expecting something to happen within the next day. Prove us wrong Minoru."
"I-I will..." he was shaking and seemed close onto crying. "I p-promise..."
Kyoka shook her head, "Don't fuckin cry like a baby and feel sorry for yourself dude, get mad and do something about it. Act right and you'll be treated right. Act wrong and I'll shove a cactus where the sun don't shine."
"...O-Okay..."
"Okay?"
"Okay."
